Royal Inscriptions of Shar-kali-sharri
The last Akkadian king to control a functioning central state argues, through building and campaign records at Nippur, that the empire could still project order even as Gutian raids and the pressures later blamed on Naram-Sin's sacrilege were already pulling it apart.
