A postexilic satire built around an older prophet's name, mocking a prophet who resents God's mercy toward Israel's enemies and using an exaggerated Nineveh conversion story to argue against ethnic particularism. Its own place of composition is uncertain, distinct from Nineveh, its narrative setting.
