2 Baruch

Syriac Apocalypse of Baruch

2 Baruch answers the same crisis as 4 Ezra, the Temple's second destruction, through visions and dialogues assigned to Jeremiah's scribe, arguing more consolingly than its counterpart that the earthly Temple's loss points toward a heavenly Jerusalem already prepared.
